OUR STORY

Basecamp IJmuiden is the first tiny house eco-resort in the Netherlands, now with 33 cottages right on the beach.
The perfect place to appreciate nature, enjoy the beach or get inspired. We welcome a wide variety of people; from nature lovers, kite and wave surfers to digital nomads. With Tiny Offices & Events, Basecamp is the perfect place for companies to host their team outing, brainstorming session or strategy meeting. Guests say our venue has a festival-like vibe. We like to approach our guests in an informal way with lots of personal attention and room for improvisation. Our goal is to develop a global network of Eco-resorts and remote Work Hubs. To be a year-round destination for environmentally conscious tourists, digital nomads, and start-ups.

It’s all about creating unforgettable experiences. Together with the meeting & events team, you are fully responsible for creating a great concept and interesting offer

As the Meetings & Events Management Trainee, it’s in your hands to keep Basecamp a place of joy, exploration, learning and establishing a feel of community. You’ll be taking care of group- reservations for business meetings, brainstorm sessions, company dinners, community events and (yoga)retreats. Basecamp has already welcomed top international companies such as G-Star, Nike, ING and Adyen.

With your help, Basecamp will be known as a place buzzing with life and festivities!

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coming up with and executing community events
• Creating amazing and unforgettable experiences
• Organizing and executing business events
• Communication with guests about their wishes
• Arrange and coordinate needed services for meeting & events; catering, activities, lodging, additional staff, AV supplies, etc.
• Operating the Tiny Bar
• Inventory management
• Continuously improving processes

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You keep your head cool in times of stress, time management comes naturally to you and you are always looking to improve. You have a friendly and open attitude and show hospitality. You are a natural host, motivator and take the lead in a team environment. You are very flexible and able to work proactively, independently and in a structured way as part of a small team.
