Terms and Conditions Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort
If you make a reservation at Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort via our website, by e-mail or telephone, these conditions apply. For reservations in any other way, only these additional terms and conditions apply.
1. APPLICATION
1.1 These General Terms and Conditions apply to all offers, reservations and agreements with regard to all accommodations and other facilities that are rented out by Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort or its affiliated companies.
1.2 In these General Terms and Conditions, the term ‘tenant’ is understood to mean: the person who concludes an agreement with Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort regarding the rental/use of accommodation. The term ‘user’ (hereinafter also referred to as guest) is understood to mean: the tenant and the persons specified in advance by the tenant who (will) make use of the accommodation and/or other facilities rented by the tenant.
1.3 These General Terms and Conditions apply regardless of your (prior) reference to any own terms and conditions or to other terms and conditions. Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort rejects all Terms and Conditions to which you refer or which are used by you.
1.4 Agreements deviating from these General Terms and Conditions are only valid if agreed in writing.
2. RESERVATIONS
2.1 Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort only accepts reservations from people who are 18 years or older. Reservations by persons younger than that age are therefore not legally valid.
2.2 Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort reserves the right to refuse deviating reservations, especially young people or groups, or to set special conditions for them without stating reasons.
2.3 If Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort processes your reservation, Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort will send you a reservation confirmation and invoice within 24 hours after the reservation has been made. You should check this for correctness immediately after receipt. Any inaccuracies must be immediately reported to Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort.
2.4 If you are not in possession of a reservation confirmation/invoice within 24 hours after making the reservation, you must immediately contact the reservation department, when failing, the reservation cannot be invoked.
2.5 An agreement is concluded between you and Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort the moment Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort has confirmed the reservation to you.
2.6 The agreement concerns the rental of accommodations and/or other facilities for recreational use, which by its nature is of short duration.
3. CHANGES TO THE AGREEMENT
3.1 If, after the agreement has been concluded, you wish to make changes to the agreement, Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort is not obliged to accept them. It is at the sole discretion of Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort to determine whether and to what extent those changes are accepted by it. In case Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort accepts your changes, Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort will charge you a amendment fee.
3.2 Changes of arrival date and/or location from 28 days before arrival are not allowed. In these cases, the cancellation costs as described in Article 14 of these General Terms and Conditions apply.
3.3 If you want to reduce the number of accommodations after the conclusion of an agreement for more than one accommodation, the cancellation conditions apply, as described in article 14 of our General Terms and Conditions.
4. INSTALLATION
4.1 The tenant and other users are not permitted to hand over the accommodation, under whatever name and for whatever reason, to persons other than the persons named in the agreement, unless otherwise agreed with Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort.
4.2 If you and Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort have agreed that you and/or one or more users will be replaced, you will remain jointly and severally liable towards Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort in addition to the tenant and/or users that you and/or other users replace. payment of the part of the rent still due, the change costs (see art. 3.1) and any additional costs as a result of the replacement and any cancellation costs.”
5. PRICES
5.1 You owe Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort the agreed rental price, as stated in the confirmation and invoice of the reservation.
5.2 Price discounts and/or special offers can no longer be used if the confirmation of the reservation/invoice has been sent by Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort
5.3 All prices are including VAT, unless otherwise stated.
5.4 Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort has the right to implement and settle price increases as a result of interim adjustments to essential regulations or provisions (including, but not limited to VAT, tourist tax, insurance tax) over which Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort has no influence.
6. PAYMENTS
6.1 When making a reservation you have the option to pay directly via iDeal or to enter your credit card details. If you choose to complete the reservation with a credit card, the credit card will be charged upon reservation.
6.2 If upon arrival at the park it appears that the amount has not yet been (fully) credited to the bank account of Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort, you must still pay the (remainder of the) amount on the spot. In the absence of payment in accordance with the above, Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort can deny you the use of the accommodation and/or other facilities. If it turns out later that a payment order had been given by you, but the amount had not yet been credited to the bank account of Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort on arrival, then the excess paid will be refunded afterwards.
6.3 In the event of late payment of the amounts invoiced to you, you will be in default immediately after expiry of the term for payment. In that case, Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort will offer you the opportunity to pay the amount still due within 7 days. If payment is still not forthcoming, Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort reserves the right to dissolve (cancel) the agreement with effect from the day that the term of 7 days has expired and you are liable for all damage that Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort has suffers or will suffer as a result, including all costs that Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort has had to incur in connection with your reservation and the dissolution. Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort has in any case the right to charge cancellation costs per accommodation. In that case, the provisions of Article 14 apply.
6.4 Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort always has the right to set off claims against you for whatever reason against the amounts paid by you.
7. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
7.1 The rented accommodation can be occupied from 3 p.m. on the agreed day of arrival as stated on the confirmation of the reservation. On the agreed day of departure as stated on the confirmation of the reservation, the accommodation must be vacated before 10.00 am.
7.2 If you wish to continue the agreement with Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort for longer than the agreed duration and Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort agrees to this, Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort is always entitled to allocate another accommodation.
7.3 If the use of the accommodation and/or other facility is terminated earlier than on the agreed date, as stated on the confirmation of the reservation, the tenant is not entitled to a refund of (part of) the rent and/or costs by Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort. If you have taken out cancellation insurance and you meet the conditions set by the insurance company, you can submit a claim for damages arising from earlier termination of your stay directly with the insurance company.
8. REGULATIONS
8.1 All guests must adhere to the rules established by Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort for the park, laid down in, among other things, the Park Regulations. You can request these Regulations at the reception upon arrival.
8.2 In accordance with local regulations, if requested, you are obliged to identify yourself at the (online) ‘check-in’. If the guests are unable to show proof of identity, Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort may decide not to accommodate the guests.
8.3 Each accommodation may only be occupied by the maximum number of persons stated in the brochure or on our website for the relevant accommodation.
8.4 Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort reserves the right to make changes to the design and opening hours of the park’s facilities. For necessary maintenance, you will allow work to be carried out on the accommodation or other facilities during your stay without being entitled to compensation.
8.5 For safety reasons, it is not allowed to place one or more tents, cars, campers or other obstacles near the accommodation.
8.6 The tenant must leave the accommodation broom clean (ie: do not leave dirty dishes, remove and fold bed linen, keep the kitchen tidy and clean, clean the refrigerator, place a garbage bag in the appropriate container).
8.7 In the event of violation of the rules included in these General Terms and Conditions, the rules of the Park Regulations or failure to follow instructions from the staff, Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort has the right to remove you, the tenant and any other user from the park immediately, without refund of the rent or part thereof.
8.8 If the park management seriously suspects that the tenant of an accommodation is acting in violation of the law and/or public order and/or morality, the park management is authorized to gain access to the accommodation.
9. PETS
9.1 Depending on the accommodation, a maximum of one dog of the tenant or users is allowed by Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort. If you and/or other users wish to bring a dog, you must indicate this immediately when booking. In that case, Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort will charge a surcharge, which you will pay. Other pets are not allowed. Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort reserves the right to refuse pets at the park (without stating reasons).
9.2 Dogs have no access to climbing and jumping equipment, indoor facilities, and other public places in the park (unless otherwise indicated on site). Dogs must be kept on a leash in the park. Directions on site must be followed. The dogs may not cause a nuisance to the other guests.
9.3 A dog bed must be brought along and protection against fleas is mandatory, drops, pills and band are sufficient.
9.4 Dogs and other pets of visitors are not allowed.
9.5 For the transport of animals to countries within the EU, they must be in possession of a passport according to the European model (from 3 July 2004). The animals must be vaccinated against rabies and identification by means of a chip or tattoo is mandatory. You are responsible for having the correct travel documents required for your pet for your destination.
10. USE ACCOMMODATION; INVENTORY
10.1 The tenant/user and those accompanying the tenant are jointly and severally liable for an orderly course of affairs in and around the rented accommodation or elsewhere in the park, use of the accommodation and the equipment present therein.
10.2 In addition, the tenant/user and those accompanying the tenant are always jointly and severally liable for damage caused by breakage and/or loss and/or damage to inventory and/or accommodation. Any damage must be reported immediately by the tenant to Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort and immediately reimbursed on the spot, unless the tenant can demonstrate that the occurrence of the damage is not due to the fault of himself, other users or one of the parties. members of his company.
11. INTERNET USE
11.1 Depending on the accommodation, Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort offers the tenant/user and those accompanying the tenant access to the internet via a WIFI network.
11.2 The tenant is responsible for the correct use of the internet as well as the necessary hardware and software, configuration, peripheral equipment and connections to support it and measures to protect the computer or operating system.
11.3 Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort is not liable for damage as a result of the use of the internet or as a result of malfunctions in the network.
11.4 The tenant/user and those accompanying the tenant must behave when using the internet as may be expected of a responsible and careful internet user and respect the essential rules. The tenant/user will refrain from behavior in which other internet users experience hindrance or where damage is caused to Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort in the broadest sense of the word. The tenant/user and those accompanying the tenant will refrain from visiting internet websites that are illegal in nature or that do not correspond to the reputation of Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort as a provider of accommodation.
11.5 In the event of detection or suspicion of nuisance from third parties and/or (other) internet abuse by the tenant/user and those accompanying the tenant, Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort has the right to block access to the internet, whether or not completely, without further notice. .
11.6 The tenant indemnifies Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort against claims by third parties for compensation for damage that these third parties in any way have suffered at Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort could (attempt to) recover, insofar as this claim is based on the use made of the internet by the tenant/user and those accompanying the tenant.
12. DEPOSIT
12.1 Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort may require a deposit from you at the start of your stay. The deposit is € 500 per accommodation, but can be increased by Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort if the circumstances give rise to it (eg groups).
12.2 The deposit serves to guarantee damage and/or costs – in the broadest sense of the word – that Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort may suffer in the event of non-compliance with the obligations of the tenant/user and those accompanying the tenant.
12.3 If the deposit is not paid immediately, Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort is entitled to deny the tenant and/or other users access to and use of the accommodation.
12.4 If you fail to pay the deposit, Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort is also entitled to dissolve (cancel) the agreement with immediate effect.
12.5 The deposit or any remainder thereof will be refunded to the tenant and/or users after settlement of claims (damage to inventory/accommodation and/or other costs) of Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort. Any (further) claims for compensation are not nullified by this refund.
13. CANCELLATION FEES
13.1 If a reservation is cancelled, cancellation costs are due. In case of cancellation from three days before arrival or later, these amounts are 100% of the travel sum.
Cancellations must always be communicated to Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort in writing.
13.2 You can insure yourself against cancellation risks by taking out cancellation insurance at the same time as your reservation.
13.3 If you have not arrived within 24 hours of the agreed date without further notice, this will be considered a cancellation.
14. FORCE MAJEURE AND CHANGE
14.1 In the event that Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort, whether or not clearly, is unable to perform the agreement in whole or in part due to force majeure, Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort can cancel the agreement within 14 days after it has become aware of the impossibility to comply, submit a change proposal (for different accommodation/different period, etc.).
14.2 Force majeure on the part of Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort exists if the execution of the agreement is wholly or partially, clearly or not, hindered by circumstances beyond the control of Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort, including danger of war, personnel strikes, blockades, fire, floods, extreme weather conditions, double bookings due to software problems and other failures or events.
15. CANCELLATION
15.1 At all times, Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort has the right to cancel the agreement with immediate effect, if personal data of you and/or other users are provided incomplete and/or incorrectly when booking. In such a case, no refund of the rent or part thereof will be made.
16. LIABILITY
16.1 Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort accepts no liability for theft (including theft from the accommodation, lockers), loss or damage off or to things or persons, of whatever nature, during or as a result of a stay at our park and /or the rent/use of the accommodation and/or other facilities of Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort, unless there is intent or gross negligence on the part of Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort or (one of) its employees.
16.2 Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort is not liable for service disruptions or defects in services provided by third parties.
16.3 You are jointly and severally liable with the user for all loss and/or damage to the rented accommodation and/or other properties of Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort that arise during the use thereof by you and/or other users, regardless of whether or not this is the is the result of acts or omissions by yourself and/or third parties who are at the park with your permission.
16.4 You indemnify Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort against all claims with regard to damage from third parties that are the result of any act or omission by yourself, other users, your travel companions or third parties who are at the park with your permission.
16.5 In case of incorrect use or incorrect leaving, including but not limited to excessive pollution, additional costs will be charged, which you are then obliged to pay immediately.
17. COMPLAINTS
17.1 Despite the care and effort of Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort, you may believe that you have a justified complaint regarding your stay. You should initially report this complaint locally and directly to the management of the park. If the complaint is not handled to your satisfaction, you have the opportunity to submit the complaint in writing to:

or via info@basecamp-ijmuiden.nl stating: reservation number, name and address details, date of stay and accommodation number. The complaint will then be handled with the utmost care. We will respond substantively to your complaint within 3 working days.
If this also does not lead to a satisfactory solution, you can also submit the complaint to the Disputes Committee via the European ODR Platform (https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr) or submit the complaint to the statutory competent court. The decision of this committee has the force of a binding advice.
18. APPLICABLE LAW
18.1 The agreement between you and Basecamp Tiny House Eco Retreat is exclusively governed by Dutch law.”
19. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
19.1 You are responsible for having the valid travel documents required for your destination. Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort accepts no liability for the consequences resulting from not being in possession of the correct travel documents.
20. PRIVACY
20.1 To be able to place a reservation for Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort, we need personal information from you. We understand that you would like to know what data we need, why we ask this data from you, who sees your data and how long we keep this data. In our privacy policy we answer all these questions and more.
21. GENERAL
21.1 Basecamp will send its correspondence digitally, unless this proves impossible.
21.2 Obvious printing and spelling errors do not bind Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort.
21.3 These general terms and conditions cancel all previous publications.
