Basecamp can best be described as a holiday park and eco resort ‘new style’. It is an Eco-retreat in the making, where sustainability and self-sufficiency are central. It is a place where people experiment with new forms of living, working and recreation. As a guest you can stay overnight in one of the 33 unique Tiny Houses, but it is also possible to rent an office or meeting room.


Basecamp IJmuiden is the first tiny house eco-resort of the Netherlands, now sporting 33 houses right next to the beach.

The perfect place to appreciate nature, enjoy the beach or get inspired. Welcoming a great variety of people; from nature lovers, kite- and wave surfers to digital nomads. The Tiny Offices & Events make Basecamp the perfect place for companies to host their team outing, brainstorm session or strategy meeting. Guests say our venue has a festival-like vibe. We like to address our guests in an informal manner with a lot of personal attention and room for improvisation.


Together with the Events Manager you are fully responsible for creating an amazing concept and interesting offering. You will be in charge of the day to day operations of four Tiny Offices, the Tiny Bar, the Green House and the Refter. You are our guests point of contact and you will make sure everything goes according to plan.

You keep your head cool in times of stress, time management comes naturally to you and you are always seeking for improvements.


  • Organizing and executing meeting & events
  • Create awesome and unforgettable experiences
  • Co-create an extensive and detailed operational planning to make sure everything runs smoothly
  • Train and supervise staff and interns
  • Coming up with new community events
  • Arrange and coordinate necessary services for meeting & events; thinking of catering, activities, overnight stay, extra staff, AV supplies, etc.
  • Communication with third parties
  • Continuously improving processes
  • Staff schedules
  • Placing F&B orders


Speaks Dutch and English. Has a friendly and open attitude, showing hospitality. Is a natural host, motivator and takes the lead in a team environment. Is very flexible and able to work proactively, independently and structured as part of a small team.

Problem solving skills, time management, ability to multitask, clear communication and a hands-on attitude are great traits in this position. Experience in banqueting, catering and/or events management is beneficial.


  • Full time job placement in an experimental sustainable environment
  • Fulltime contract with a fixed compensation of €2200,- per month based on a fulltime workweek
